Bio
Flávia Junqueira (São Paulo, 1985) vive e trabalha em São Paulo.
Doutora em Artes Visuais pelo Instituto de Artes da Universidade Estadual de Campinas (UNICAMP), mestre em Poéticas Visuais pela Universidade de São Paulo (USP), pós graduada em fotografia e bacharel em Artes Plásticas pela Fundação Armando Alvares Penteado (FAAP.)
Flávia Junqueira apresenta-nos cenas onde o real e o fictício, o físico e o alegórico, o presente e o passado, o adulto e a criança se combinam; onde a História se torna uma memória. Ela cria paisagens imaginárias caprichosas e festivas, onde imergimos no cenário mágico da cultura local, sentindo o peso da história, ouvindo o silêncio do passado. Os balões em suas obras são os protagonistas que sobem ao palco, seja ele qual for,seja a rua ou o céu.
Participou do projeto do programa de residências da Izolyatsia’s Platform for Cultural Initiatives na cidade de Donestk na Ucrânia com curadoria de Boris Mikailov (2011), da residência Cité Internationale des Arts em Paris com apoio da FAAP (2011), integrou o Programa PIESP da Escola São Paulo (2010) e atuou como assistente de cenografia no Espaço Cenográfico de São Paulo de J.C.Serroni.
Entre os principais projetos e exposições coletivas que participou destacam-se: Culture and Conflict, IZOLYATSIA in Exile; Palais de Tokyo, The World Bank Art Program; Kaunas Photo festival; Exposição Individual “Tomorrow | will be born again” na Cité Dês Arts; coletiva “Una mirada latino Americana” do projeto Photo Espafia; temporada de projetos Paço das Artes; prêmio Energias na Arte no Instituto Tomie Otahke, programa Nova Fotografia no MIS; Concurso Itamaraty; Residência RedBull House of Art; Atêlie Aberto da Casa Tomada, entre outros. Algumas de suas obras integram o acervo de museus e espaços culturais como: MAR- RJ, MAM-SP, MIS-SP, MAB-FAAP, Museu do Itamaraty, Instituto Figueiredo Ferraz, RedBullStation entre outros. Flávia Junqueira é representada pela Galeria Zipper no Brasil, pela Reiners Contemporary Art na Espanha, Unix Gallery em Nova York e pela Galeria VOSS na Alemanha.
Flávia Junqueira (São Paulo, 1985) lives and works in São Paulo.
She has a PhD in Visual Arts from the Institute of Arts of the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP), a Masters in Visual Poetry from the University of São Paulo (USP), and graduated in photography and a Bachelor of Arts from the Armando Alvares Penteado Foundation (FAAP).
Flávia Junqueira introduces us to scenes where the real and the fictitious, the physical and the allegorical, the present and the past, the adult and the child, are combined; where History becomes a memory. She creates whimsical and festive imaginary landscapes, where we become immersed in the distant scenery of national culture, feeling the weight of history, listening to the silence of the past. Balloons in her works are the performers taking the stage, whatever the theatre is, be it the street or the sky.
Participated in the project of the residency program of the Izolyatsia’s Platform for Cultural Initiatives in the city of Donestk in Ukraine curated by Boris Mikailov (2011), the residence of the Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris with support from FAAP (2011), integrated the PIESP Program São Paulo (2010) and worked as a scenography assistant at the São Paulo Scenario of JCSerroni.
